Integration ~ Building bridges to enhance community health
We are engaging staff in the integration of the complementary therapies offered at The Springs into the care of any patient coming to CSH&C. Our practitioners are actively working with staff in other hospital departments to create a truly integrated approach to treatment and providing staff education so that treatment plans can be appropriately designed and implemented.
INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE is a patient-centered approach that addresses a broad spectrum of needs combining the value of modern, conventional Western medicine integrated with complementary therapies in a coordinated way. We address the full range of physical, emotional, mental, social, and environmental influences that can affect a person's health.
Our center cares for a diverse clientele, including those seeking relaxation, those seeking pain management, injury recovery, those with orthopedic concerns or complex medical conditions. Services are available for anyone living in the local community, visitors, hospital staff, nursing home residents, and inpatients with a physician order.Visiting family members may make appointments for themselves in The Springs for services that will help reduce stress, improve overall health and give them some pampering. Staff from various departments may request consults from The Springs staff to assist with patient care or foster referrals.
Our goal is to incorporate all services in some way throughout the hospital to provide a more nurturing, personalized approach to care for inpatients and outpatients, as we continue to serve as a resource for the community.
