Julie Hobart, AAS, LC, LMT

NY Licensed Cosmetologist
NY Licensed Massage Therapist
Julie Hobart provides both massage therapy and skin care treatments at The Springs with dual licensure as a Licensed Massage Therapist and as a Cosmetologist. She is a 1994 graduate of Continental School of Beauty in Rochester, NY, and received an Associate Degree in Science and Massage Therapy from Finger Lakes Community College in 2003.

Julie has attended several continuing education seminars including training in Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage technique and certification as a massage therapist for people living with cancer. Julie is a Dr. Hauschka® Certified Esthetician and has advanced training in Holistic Treatment Alternatives for Acne, Rosacea, and Aging.

Julie’s goal is to teach people the great importance of taking care of the whole person, starting from the outside and working to deep within. Julie is an educator, compassionate listener, and has a genuine commitment to providing the highest quality care. She has assisted in development of treatments at The Springs, upholding the therapeutic value of the treatments created.

Bernadette M. Murphy, MA, LMT
NY Licensed Massage Therapist
Bernadette M. Murphy is a New York State licensed massage therapist who is also certified in hydrotherapy. She received her training at the Finger Lakes School of Massage located in Ithaca, New York. Previous to her entering the world of bodyworkers, she acquired a Masters in Communications and Women’s Studies that she presently applies to her volunteer work for the advancement of human rights.

Practicing from the pedagogy that the muscles hold the memories of our lives, she became quite familiar with an array of injuries while interning at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, New York. From joint replacements to multiple traumas resulting from accidents, Bernadette has received hands-on experience in the massage treatments needed to heal and rehabilitate individuals.

Bernadette applies several modalities such as cranial-sacral and connective tissue therapy to her massage sessions to meet the needs of her patients. She also has an extensive background in the medicinal use of essential oils. She hopes to incorporate this knowledge within her work at Clifton Springs Hospital as a means to create personal blends for The Springs guests.

Currently she is employed as a part time massage therapist at Clifton Springs Hospital, and also maintains a private practice. Outside of work she is joyfully welcoming the challenges of her newfound mother status.

Paula Goodell, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist

Paula is a native of Shortsville, NY and a graduate of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester, NY.  She is dedicated to helping others find relief through the healing power of touch.  Paula uses a foundation of Swedish massage combined with techniques from other modalities such as connective tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, and others to create an individualized treatment plan.  Paula was voted “Best Chair Massage” in school and has participated in many health fairs and events offering her wonderful gift of touch.

Paula has many years experience working with children with special needs as a teacher’s aide.  She also volunteers with the Victor High School running programs, and is involved in the Manchester/Shortsville Community Theater Program.  Paula has a great love for music, camping and hiking and enjoys as much free time outdoors as she can.

Krista Ingerick, BA, LMT, NCTMB

Spa Operations Manager
NY State Licensed Massage Therapist
Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork
Krista is a 1997 graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a B.A. in Psychology and a 2001 graduate of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester. A Springs team member since July 2002, Krista has developed a massage therapy practice that specializes in chronic pain management, injury rehabilitation and orthopedic massage, as well as prenatal massage. Her sessions incorporate multiple modalities including Swedish, connective tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, and subtle energy therapeutics combined to elicit whatever outcome her client requests or needs. Krista’s clientele has ranged in age from 5 years to 95 years. She encourages a multi-disciplinary approach to health and wellness and educates and refers clients for other therapies regularly.

In November 2006, Krista accepted a position as The Springs Spa Operations Manager and is available for massage sessions on a limited basis. If you would like to request a session with Krista, please ask to speak with her directly as her schedule is restricted due to her additional duties. Krista is presently working on marketing, retail, and practice development at The Springs. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to call.

Jarrod Reed, LMT
Jarrod is a graduate of the Therapeutic Massage/Integrated Health Care program at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, NY. Jarrod began his education in Health Sciences at SUNY Cortland and decided that he wanted a career that provided treatment for those people seeking improved quality of life through the holistic benefits massage could offer. Jarrod considers himself a "muscle therapist," seeking to provide therapeutic results and relief for his clients, rather than a superficial experience with massage.

Jarrod incorporates several techniques into his work including Connective Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy, Swedish/Relaxation, and Reflexology. His approach to Swedish/Relaxation massage relies on a heavier hand, bordering on Connective Tissue Therapy to achieve maximum results for his clients. He is very conscientious of his client's needs and preferences, and is very professional in his performance. Jarrod's hands-on skills are gifted, and he has the uncanny ability to seek out the most elusive tension in the body.
